close Wowee, what a game. A nail biter. The Children win by 2 points and make their way into the GF versus Goodwood.

The coach couldn't even watch the last 5 minutes due to the ping pong nature of the game. No score by either team in the last 8 minutes of the game.

The Children showed desperation, desire and passion that was slightly missing from the previous week.
The ferocity at the ball and player all day was inspirational.

Two players down at quarter time. Penni down with a hip complaint after he fearlessly put himself in harms way backing into a contest. Matty Allan also down and out with an ankle strain. He thinks it was due to the weight of carrying the team...please.
Hopefully both come up cherry ripe for the GF.

At 3QT, 9 points down and with Monty Swift slightly hobbled, a coaches call or self made diagnosis to move Monty to full forward in the last quarter paid off. Dangerfield like, Monty chimed in with 2 last quarter goals to help the team to victory.

With 10 seconds to go, ROCS were transitioning the ball into their forward 50. With what appeared to be a mark to ROCS 40 metres out from goal, was called touched by the umpire from the ROCS kick into their forward line. At the ensuing ball up, the siren sounded for what was a great win by the Children.

Now on to the big dance at Thebarton Oval which is exciting for the team, and something they look forward too.

Across the board everyone played well or had moments they should be proud of what they did.
The best players and goal kickers are highlighted on bob neil. Some of the names who could have been named include:
'Cannon' Stewart for his tackling and never give in attitude.
Aggers for his rebound from defence and calmness.
Hydey, Toby and Swoop for their run and carry on the wings.
Les and Jamo for rucking against guys twice their size and giving their all. Both inspirational.
Pitto for his set role up fwd that the coach needed.
Jim Connell for hit ups when the team needed it most.
Simmo for his goals and aggression all day.
Dols for his hardness at every contest.
LP for his clean disposal in a game of chaos.
Harmsy and Barr(y) for their selfless acts.

Finally, well done to the Chards on a great win, and making their 3rd GF in a row. A great credit to their determination despite a challenging season with injuries and numbers. All the best v Modbury.
