close Colour blocking, a la a Rubik's cube, was the pre-game dress theme for the game against the Minties at Bob Neil #1. Sir Les donned some blue, Double Ds went yellow pre-schooler wet weather gear over a maroon 80s fleece-lined sweat-suit, but no-one could match Tommy $2. Going to the lengths you'd expect of a med student with a lot of time on his hands he donned a pink bow tie, pink blouse (courtesy of the GF), pink jamy pants (courtesy of the GF) and the piece de-le-resistance, a pink G-string (courtesy of the GF, or so he says). It was a hideous site. Being the only Pembroke alumni who is broke, Tommy $2 has no undies of his own and proceeded to play the game in the G-string. Something was clearly up, as his form headed south. Seeing a team mate in discomfort, 180 Dart came to the rescue and provided his post-match jocks for Tommy $2 to wear in the second half. It didn't help his form.

#Doug the Thug was nominated match report writer, being a journo and all. Having dished put the bumps the week before, #DTT was on the receiving end of a not too shabby hip and shoulder about 10 minutes into the first quarter. Very slow to get to his feet, #DTT had a rest on the pine before doing not much for the rest of the game. But a bit of concussion and NFI of what actually happened during the game wasn't going to stop him from writing the match report. On his way out for a servo pie to spur his creative genius, #DTT collapsed at the servo and wound up in hospital. A high quality match report will have to wait another week. Hope you're alright Dougy. At least you're in the running for back-to-back JT Goose trophies.

To the game. The Minties hunted the ball well in the first quarter and made the most of their scoring opportunities. The C-Men responded and dominated possession for much of the last 3 quarters but couldn't put a score on the board. A handful of opportunities went begging in the last (the New Hazard will be restricted to playing on the defensive side of centre henceforth) and the Minities were eventual winners by 19 points. Boo!

Good efforts came from all in what was a hard fought game against a hard working opposition, with the New Hazard, Fritch Mancis and 180 Dart leading the way. Boy Friday kicked a brace, while Chooka, Fritch and the Hangman contributed the remainder of the C-Men's hefty 5 goals.
