close There a shitty old saying you’ll find written in peeling paint across many suburban footy club change rooms. It reads; ‘Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance’. What they fail to mention is that no amount of Prior Preparation Prevents PAC Plugga Plucking 14 Pucking goals. 10 new bastards took to the field for the first time against a seasoned and well drilled PAC outfit. After a strong few weeks at trainings with an unprecedented number of bastards actually running uni loops, we were primed for a crack at last year’s premiers.
The attack on the footy was hard, and uncompromising, something which stirred a fire deep in Rocky’s belly. Yes, there are good and exciting signs for B@stards 2016 campaign. Outdone only by match fitness and a keener game sense, the young and inexperienced Bastards side fought admirably but were always going to struggle. PAC only had 3 goals scorers out of 16 goals, so hopefully old mate will be playing in the Magoos for the rest of the year. The engine room of Chalk, Bell, and Fuckby were by far the best Blackers out there, while Balls-Deep and The Director were excellent all day. Marshall Law and Beanpole Verco looked like they’ll be good amateurs.
Some good signs, but effort will mean nothing unless we can put together a stronger performance this week. Some more experienced heads to return this week, as part of the controversial new rotation system. Big ups for all those who didn’t play but came out to help last weekend. Onyaz.
